Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Jin Technologies is seeking an energetic and self-driven individual for our Islamabad team.

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, the chosen candidate will be responsible for manually testing web and mobile applications, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring high-quality releases across every sprint.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience

Preferably 2+ years of industry experience.

Required Skills:

• Ability to identify and isolate issues, test web and mobile applications against provided instructions and checklists.
• Strong ability to test from an end-user perspective.
• Hands-on exposure to manual testing.
• Familiarity with SDLC/STLC concepts.
• Understanding of SQL for data validation.
• Experience in Jira (or similar issue-tracking/test management tools).
• Exposure to automated testing tools/frameworks is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform manual functional testing on web and mobile applications.
• Identify and report bugs discovered within the sprint, participate in regression testing and ensure that any fixes are retested.
• Participate in sprint planning and other relevant meetings.
• Work as sprint team member and write new test cases for the sprint tickets and execute them.
• Understand, analyze, and critically evaluate product requirements to develop precise test cases/scenarios with the required test data.
• Maintain and support test environments, ensuring they remain up to date, monitoring for issues, and flagging or resolving problems as soon as they arise.
• Look for opportunities to improve the overall quality of our product and testing processes.
• Highlight new industry standards, potential quality risks and issues.
• Fill daily timesheets to record the time spent on relevant tasks.
